Easter was hopping this year…pun intended, here at Pine Lakes Lodge. From dawn to dusk our staff was in full Easter mode. To share the spirit we decided to test drive some Easter themed recipes to jump start the weekend celebrations. Read on to get some great recipe ideas for your next Easter.
First on our list was the PEEP S’MORE. It might be hard to believe, but there are some people out there who do enjoy eating peeps. That’s right, those sugary chick and bunny shaped goodies do have loyal fans. For this reason, we decided to test out the peep s’more!
This recipe was very simple to make and yields quite a lot of s’mores. It doesn’t take long to make either. To follow our recipe click here. We by no means are professional Pinterest bakers, but we do know our way around a delicious s’more or two.
Next on the agenda, breakfast. The most important meal of the day, has to be festive or the rest of the day won’t even be worth it. Right? Well we thought so anyway. So our awesome staff focused on the perfect Easter breakfast for guests to eat before heading out to visit with their families.
What is the perfect Easter breakfast you ask? Well our perfect (non-pinterest) breakfast meal consisted of bunny face pancakes, bunny shaped cinnamon roles, sausage, eggs, bacon, potatoes and mimosas of course. The table was complete with a few beautiful spring flowers to really put the feel of Easter in the air as well. Guests left our dinner tables happy, stuffed, and feeling very festive for the day.
The last bit of Easter celebrating we did was with dinner. We did not throw a HUGE Easter dinner for the public. We did however treat our current guests to dinner with the real feel of Easter. Here are guests Jeff and Karen enjoying General Manager Liz’s dinner on the patio. The weather was beyond perfect for guests to sit outside and enjoy their delicious meals. Staff lined the tables and outside with Easter eggs and flowers to really set the mood and guests really seemed to enjoy themselves. Luckily for us, the weather is only going to get better from here on out and guests can start enjoying our back patio more often.
Other than meeting and getting to know guests, our staff loves being festive around the holidays! Whether its candle-lit dinners for Valentine’s Day, bunny pancakes for Easter or hosting Santa Claus for Christmas we will be here, as festive as ever. Don’t believe us? Book your next stay or event during a holiday this year and find out for yourself!
