Shauna and Michael are two Buckeye alums who met in a college dorm, after she nearly knocked him off his feet. After several years of dating, these two were so in love, they skipped the proposal and decided to get a ring and head to the alter. Or in this case, the lodge. Having both attended The Ohio State University, the obvious choice for wedding colors were red and black. With the gorgeous spring day, the lodge atmosphere and the love and support of their closet friends and family, their May wedding turned out to be SO lovely. Don’t believe us? Just look at those smiles captured in their wedding photos!
THE PROPOSAL: “Michael didn’t do a proposal. The ring was bought from the store and he asked, ‘Well aren’t you going to put it on?'”
WEDDING THEME: KEPT IT SIMPLE
WEDDING COLORS: RED AND BLACK
Shauna went for a simple, yet lovely lace gown with a smaller train. Designed by David’s Bridal, her gown was perfect for the outside ceremony.
ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE: “Remain calm. Remember to take it all in. You work hard and the night goes by so quickly!”
Cake: The couple doubled down on cakes for their wedding. They had a white cake on the eve of the wedding and later had a gorgeous green and white cake, with a deer for the reception.
FROM THE COUPLE: “We chose Pine Lakes Lodge for the wedding because it is beautiful! Thank you for making our day so special!”
